SLI is built for students aged 15-24 who want more from a summer than a textbook. Whether you're starting from scratch or already comfortable in English, there's a place for you - we offer 12 proficiency levels, from complete beginner to advanced, so every student works at the right level of challenge.
*Older students are welcome and grouped by skill, not age.
SLI classes are built around conversation, debate, storytelling, performance, and real communication. Our teachers come from the US, Canada and Europe and bring the energy, patience, and skill. You'll speak more English in a single afternoon here than in a month of regular school.
SLI becomes a different kind of experience: clubs in drama, creative writing, cooking, music, fitness, movie nights, talent shows and more - all run in English. On weekends, students explore Klaipėda's Old Town, the Curonian Spit, and the Baltic coast, or simply spend time in the community. The friends you make here come from Lithuania, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Georgia, Poland, and a dozen other countries.
Students who attend at least 85% of classes and complete their coursework receive an official certificate aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) - the internationally recognized standard used by universities and employers across Europe.

Move into Halls of Residence on July 3-4
You may not move into housing before July 3-4 unless you make arrangements priorly.
Attend registration on July 4
All participants must be present on-site for registration and language testing.

Unforeseen circumstances may sometimes cause students to request an SLI Course fee refund. Please read our rules:
You must move out of on-campus housing on July 24 unless you make arrangements prior to your arrival.
Bring blanket, pillow and linen. Rental is only available upon request during application for students who are arriving by plane. Rental fee is 15 EUR.
Bring towels, clothes, bathroom supplies etc.
Make sure you are appropriately covered for the duration of the program.
Bring pots, pans, cutlery, plate, cup, kettle etc.
If you want to participate in musical group - bring your favorite instrument!
In case you use prescription medication or have a headache, upset stomach, etc.
Come prepared to study hard, ask questions and participate. Be ready to interact in small groups, to speak about current events, write essays and to express your opinion in class.
You must be prepared to attend all of the classes each day and work hard to learn English.
You will be required to complete homework after classes to prepare for the next day. Students who consistently do not complete their homework must stay after classes for one hour.

Home away from home - a community where each person is valued and respected and safety is a priority. In order for this to happen, everyone must help to create an atmosphere where we can live, study, and play together.
Rooms are shared by up to 6 residents who are grouped by age. Each resident has a bed, desk, closet space and Wi-Fi access. Bathroom and kitchen areas are shared.
Residence Life staff are available to help you at all times.
Full time staff members who live in the residence halls. They are responsible for making the halls a safe and welcoming place.
LCC International University students who work with the RDs to make the residence halls exciting places to live! They are an excellent resource for students with questions. The RAs will also plan fun events!
You are welcome to use the on-campus fitness center for a small fee. Present your LCC ID card at the fitness center reception desk.
The cafeteria is open from 8:30 - 17:30. Meals are served at set times during the day. You can purchase hot meals, salads, soups, chips and drinks for very reasonable prices.
You can use the kitchens located in the residence halls to cook your own meals. Cooking skills are greatly appreciated by the SLI community.
The LCC library is at your disposal. You will find books, current newspapers, magazines and videos in English. You can use your LCC ID card to check out books and videos.
We are based in Lithuania's third largest city, located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Klaipėda is a cultural and business hub that transforms into a resort for the summer season.
You will have no difficulties finding your way around town and enjoying local culture. Over 80% of youth and a fair percentage of the older generation speak English.
Lithuania is a member of the EU and Schengen agreements, which means you can explore neighboring countries and Central Europe without borders.
