LCC International University > Summer Language Institute > Residence Halls
SLI students who live in LCC International University Housing are part of a residential learning community and are expected to live in agreement with the Community Standards.
Residence hall is a home to many different people-it is important that they are all respected and have a safe and clean place to live. These guidelines help create that kind of environment in the hall. They also encourage students to engage in behavior that is healthy and to live responsibly. Repeated violations will result in being sent home from the program.
ALL SLI students are required to be in their rooms by 23:00 Sunday-Thursday, and 00:00 on Friday and Saturday. Please return to the residence hall before this time. If you come back to the hall after that time, you will still be let in. However, your name will be recorded by the night guard and reported. The Residence Life Staff may come to your room after 24:00 (Sunday-Thursday) or 1:00 (Friday-Saturday) to ensure that everyone is in their rooms and will follow up with any missing residents.
SLI is a time to learn to know friends. Some students will come with a friend and want to live together. All students are encouraged to get to know people from other cities and countries. Four to six people live in each room. Therefore, SLI staff allows you to request only ONE roommate; the other roommates will be assigned to you. This will help you make friends and encourage you to speak English in your room.
You will be charged a €30 damage deposit during registration. If your room is clean and in good condition, if you have not violated any rules and no fines were applied, if your key and ID cards is returned, you will receive the money back when you move out.
