I am pleased and honored to know Jurga Kasteckienė, a fashion icon and academic writing teacher. I first met Jurga at a seminar that she hosted for English language teachers in the Plunge region several years ago. Jurga and I both teach academic writing. She teaches at Vilnius University and I teach at LCC. We both support the LAKMA teachers association. Jurga invited me to teach several lessons to her writing students at VU, a opporuntity that thrilled me. We could talk for hour about teaching writing. And life.

Recently Jurga was featured in “Moteris“ the most popular women‘s magazine in Lithuania. The interview highlights Jurga‘s passion for her students, her family, and her love of fashion.

When I first saw Jurga Kasteckienė, I was eighteen - I was preparing for an English exam. We worked extremely hard, and the results were excellent. I remember that there was not a single student in the group who was indifferent to her. We all came in high spirits, because the atmosphere encouraged us to improve. You will soon understand why.
