Weekly Campus Update

2020-05-01

Summer programs updates
LCC is planning that all summer programs will resume on June 1, but we are still monitoring the situation in Lithuania. We will continue to adapt our plans as necessary and make sure to notify all audiences that we work with. Registrations for Summer Language Institute and summer kids camps are currently ongoing.

New academic year update:
LCC management has officially confirmed that we will start the 2020/2021 academic year as planned with the new Student Orientation happening on August 27-29 and classes beginning on August 31. We have various plans developed on how to adjust if face-to-face classes aren‘t possible and all students will be informed of that ahead of time.

Important for prospective students:

LCC admission process and the deadlines have not been affected. We continue working with new student applications and the final deadline is June 30. We encourage everyone to apply early as that will guarantee you have your admission decision sooner. It takes up to 2 weeks to get your admission decision. The early application also ensures that you have enough time to apply for scholarships or Need Based aid. New webinar session:
On May 7, at 17:00 LCC will hold an online webinar for the Lithuanian audience to learn more about LCC: our programs, admission procedures, financing opportunities, and other important information. More details about the webinar will be provided at the beginning of next week on LCC's Facebook page.

From LCC's President Dr. Marlene Wall:
"This week brings our academic year to a close. It’s hard to express the proper closure when we are unable to see each other in our year-end traditions. But even without the personal gatherings, the LCC community spirit has been felt – through the rigorous thesis defenses of our seniors and all the supportive guests on Zoom, through the words of students/faculty/staff as they shared their testimonies of God’s faithfulness in our final chapel service online, through the faculty/staff recognition and farewell event online -- which included a flurry of comments of affirmation and congratulation. May 2 should have been our graduation day for the Class of 2020. While we rejoice with them on this achievement now (remotely), we will welcome them back to campus in December to celebrate together as we should."
