Artūras Žilys moved to the United States 17 years ago. For more than a decade he was the head of the world's largest Lithuanian diaspora center, but recently he has joined the LCC International University team and will be working as the Vice President for Finance and Infrastructure/Chief Financial Officer.
“LCC International University is pleased to welcome Artūras Žilys as part of our team. Artūras is an innovative leader with a wealth of knowledge and experience in executive leadership, financial strategy and finacial management, setting business strategies, development planning and execution with a strong focus on IT solutions,” said Marlene Wall, President of the LCC International University.
Artūras Žilys has a Master's degree in Management and Business Administration which he received in Lithuania. In the United States, he earned an additional Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor. When he moved to the United States, Artūras worked as a general manager of a logistics company, and for the last 12 years he was the Executive Director of the Lithuanian World Center, the largest Lithuanian diaspora community center outside of Lithuania, located near Chicago. Currently Artūras is a Presidium member of the Lithuanian-American Community Board of Directors.
Artūras Žilys shared, “I am proud to join this North American style university that has a particularly large international community. I believe that together we can accomplish extraordinary goals implementing and strengthening the educational activities and institutional capacity of the LCC International University, at the same time making Lithuania's name known in the USA, Canada and other countries. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work on both sides of the Atlantic and will continue to share the experience gained in the USA and Lithuania.”
