Capable and accomplished youth leader

Gintarė Varankevičiūtė, LCC Class of 2011, is the recipient of the 2018 Young Distinguished Alumni Award. 

Gintarė is a capable and accomplished youth leader, worship leader, musician, and organizer. Gintarė works for Youth With a Mission in some very difficult neighborhoods of Long Island, New York where she has worked since graduating from LCC.

She is a remarkable human with a sincere heart and commitment to serve others. She bridges divides – denominational divides, between the Catholic church she worships in and the Protestant church she serves in- and racial divides, between the Korean community she serves and the primarily black and Hispanic community she lives in.

Gintarė is most certainly a servant leader, the kind of graduate we are pleased to recognize with the 2018 Young Distinguished Alumni Award.
