2026 Distinguished Alumni Award Winner

Dovilė Urbanavičienė (Class of 2007) was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award. Now CEO and manager of Miško Mokykla (Forest School) in Klaipėda, Lithuania, Dovilė was recognized for her contributions to education and societal impact through her entrepreneurial educational model. Reflecting on her LCC experience, she shared: “What LCC has really provided me in my professional path is actually the sense and understanding of community, that it’s more than just gathering people together, that it’s actually living together … from all around the world under one roof … at LCC.” Dovilė’s Miško Mokykla reflects LCC’s international spirit by welcoming children from diverse backgrounds and training educators from across Europe — extending the values of community and intercultural learning she experienced at LCC into a new generation.
