Bio

Naomi Sheley serves as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at LCC International University. She holds degrees in biblical studies, elementary education, and theology, with a PhD concentrating in New Testament (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, IL, 2021). Her research focuses on the New Testament Gospels, particularly interpretation of the Gospel of Mark.

Before entering academia, Naomi worked mostly in K–12 education and has taught children, adolescents, college and graduate students, and non-degree adults. She believes that students learn best when they are actively engaged and when learning activities stimulate higher-order thinking.
