Bio

Dr. Westwood brings a wealth of experience and practical knowledge to his classes. He earned an M.A. TESOL and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the English for Multilingual Students department at Bakersfield College in California where he teaches composition, reading, and communication skills. He has been teaching English for over a decade in volunteer and professional contexts such as universities, community colleges, and intensive English programs. Previously, he taught TESOL methodology courses at Anaheim University at the David Nunan TESOL Institute. He taught English courses on the island of Mayotte, a French commune of the southeast coast of Africa. He has experience teaching English at Educational Concepts International in Zaranj, Afghanistan. He has taught at LCC’s Summer Language Institute. Dr. Westwood past president of the board of the Christian English Language Educators Association (CELEA).
