Michael Patrick joined the LCC faculty as a full professor in the Communications Department in 2000. He teaches a range of Communication and journalism courses, drawing upon an extensive professional career, including posts in print, radio, multi-media, and network television news, including with CNN International and CBN News networks.  

Patrick has at more than a dozen years’ university teaching experience, earlier serving as the Dean and Chair in a multidiscipline Communication and the Arts school at Regent University in Virginia. Patrick has earned five degrees, including a PhD in Organizational leadership and a Master of Arts in the Communication field. He has traveled, lived, and worked abroad internationally. Patrick enjoys beach life and writing. He was born in Alaska and joined us from New York City. He is widowed, with three adult children.
