Kornelius Ens is a Research Fellow at the Center for Faith and Human Flourishing at LCC International University since 2020. He studied at the Universities of Münster, Berlin, Bielefeld, Marburg and Osnabrück and received a Master of Arts in Theology, Psychology and Cultural Studies (University of Osnabrück/Marburg) and another Master of Arts in History and Political Science (Free University of Berlin). Since 2012 he has been a lecturer at the Westfälische-Wilhelms-University Münster. In 2016, he became Director of the Museum für russlanddeutsche Kulturgeschichte/Museum of Germans from Russia Cultural History (Detmold/Germany) and in this role, he is also a lecturer at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies at the University of Osnabrück. His research interests are in the importance of memory culture, and historical memory research of individuals with immigrant backgrounds. Using the example of Germans from Russia, he examines the significance of museum-based mediation formats for the integration process. Under the guidance of the University of Bielefeld, he came up with the concept of cultural-historical discussion forums on the topic of trauma education in the context of migration. He is a member of the German Museum Association, the Association of Historians in Germany, the Association of Eastern European Historians, and the Cultural Policy Association.
