As Director of Student Success and Wellness at LCC International University, Gretchen Ketner is passionate about helping students thrive academically, personally, and emotionally throughout their university experience. Before stepping into this role, she served as LCC’s Student Academic Support Specialist and spent many years teaching EAP. She also provided leadership as Director of PRIME and the Summer Language Institute. Prior to coming to LCC, she taught English for Academic Purposes at a small liberal arts university in the United States. Gretchen holds an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Graduate Education Certificate in Trauma and Resilience in Educational Environments. Outside of work, she is the proud owner of Bennie, a cat whose name was inspired by the Lithuanian word bendrabutis (dormitory), as he was once a stray affectionately known around campus as "the dorm cat" while trying to make Neumann Hall his home.
