Bio

Doreen Ewert is a Professor in the Department of Rhetoric and Language at the University of San Francisco, where she also directs the Academic English for Multilingual Students Program. She has been an affiliate faculty member in the MA TESOL program with LCC International University since 2009, where she teaches the ENG 610 Action Research Practicum, ENG 680 Thesis I, and advises on students' theses. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics (TESOL and Applied) from Indiana University, an MA in TESOL from Indiana University, and an MA in English from the University of Notre Dame. She has taught academic English for more than 30 years in the USA and Poland. She regularly presents at conferences and implements teacher development workshops nationally and internationally. She has served on TESOL International’s Professional Development Council, and as a Site-Reviewer and Commissioner for the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA).
