Biography

Dr. Ken Stoltzfus became President of LCC International University on August 1, 2026, returning to the university where he previously served as a faculty member and department chair. He brings more than two decades of experience in Christian higher education, most recently as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Academic Dean at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. His academic career has also included service at Samford University and Malone University, as well as his earlier years at LCC. Before entering academia, Ken worked as a social worker in direct practice and in administrative roles within the substance abuse and mental health treatment fields. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Social Work from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. A lifelong learner, he is currently completing a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies at Belhaven University, which he expects to finish in fall 2026.

Throughout his career, Ken has been guided by a conviction that education is about more than the transfer of knowledge — it is about equipping students to live with purpose, serve others, and contribute meaningfully to the world. He is grateful to return to Klaipėda to walk alongside the LCC community as it continues its mission of Christian liberal arts education within a diverse learning community that transforms people for servant leadership. Ken and his wife, Amy, have two adult children living in the US. Their daughter, Katie, is a hospice social worker married to Garrett, an aerospace engineer. Their son, Dylan, is studying law at the University of Maine. Ken and Amy enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time with family, and can often be found walking around Klaipėda with their dog, Finn. Ken's hobbies include reading, running, cycling, and swimming.
