Weekly Update From LCC

2020-04-01

LCC International University is in the midst of the third week of the remote working mode. We are successfully moving forward with the online classes as well as making important decisions. We have a dedicated team of faculty and staff – who have stepped up to finish the semester well and to care for our students well. People are doing their own tasks, but are also finding ways to “invent community” online, both as teams of faculty and staff, but also for students (on campus and beyond).

Important update:
Due to the uncertainty the world is living in today, we had to postpone Spring 2020 graduation. LCC's President, Dr. Marlene Wall shared, "In light of the restrictions placed on us all by the COVID-19 pandemic and with great regret, we will be postponing the May 2, 2020 graduation ceremony. Rather than canceling this important event, we are rescheduling graduation for Saturday, December 12, 2020, to be held in person on campus with our traditions and festivities.”

Student life:
While many of our students have decided to return to their home countries, 185 non-Lithuanians stayed in Lithuania. In fact, both Enns and Neumann residence halls are still buzzing with 140 students who decided to stay on campus until the end of the semester.

#MondayMessage
A new tradition at this critical time is the weekly Monday Messages from the President of LCC, Dr. Marlene Wall. We are all still a part of the same community, whether we are on campus, in Lithuania, or all over the world.
