On 15-17 April, Ignas Kalpokas, LCC International Relations and Development Department instructor, participated in the Political Studies Association Annual International Conference in Nottingham, one of the biggest events on the British political studies calendar. At the conference, I.Kalpokas presented his paper, “Affect, Attention, and Algorithm in Machinic Politics,” elaborating on the effects of today’s digital technologies on political action and thinking. In addition to participating in academic panel sessions and roundtable discussions, I.Kalpokas met with the leading publishers in the field, and discussed his future publication opportunities. While visiting the stand of Palgrave Macmillan, he also had an opportunity to promote his latest book, “A Political Theory of Post-Truth.”
