PARTNERSHIP WITH BIBLES FOR THE WORLD

2020-09-28

Education at LCC International University is based on Christian values. As part of the Christian experience, every student who comes to study at LCC is required to take a Biblical Literature course. While textbooks are generally lent to students for a semester, a Bible has been always given for students to keep. We believe that in this way LCC graduates can continue to carry the Word of God with them beyond their LCC years.

LCC has been looking for long term supporters, who would donate Bibles for students. A year ago, Bibles For The World, a non-profit organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, responded to the call for Bible donations. BFTW graciously offered to donate 500 Bibles which will help us meet the needs of incoming students through the year 2024.

The idea of giving Bibles to students from different countries closely related to their primary mission as an organization. The mission of Bibles For The World is “to be a catalyst for individual and cultural change through Christ and the power of His Word.” (More about Bibles For The World: https://biblesfortheworld.org/about-us/)

During the first week of the Fall 2020 semester, NIV Study Bibles were given to 133 students in the Biblical Literature class. LCC is happy to be part of the mission of Bibles For The World. This semester, the recipients come from Afghanistan, Albania, the USA, Armenia, Belarus, the United Kingdom, Cameroon, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Madagascar, Romania, Russia, Syria, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.
