On October 8, LCC hosted an open lecture by Mantas Macikas, founder and CEO at Memel Institute. Mantas is a research analyst who writes and comments on Baltic foreign policy toward the U.S., Europe, and China. During the open lecture titled Translatlantic Cooperation in an Era of Crisis and Competition, Mantas discussed the rise of authoritarianism worldwide. The discussion focused on important questions for policymakers in Washington DC, Brussels, and other capitals across Europe and how they should respond to the challenges of trade and security. The lecture raised some important questions regarding the future of the transatlantic relationship in a rapidly changing world.
