On Friday, April 17, the LCC community held its annual Leadership Awards Ceremony online. In total, 90 student leaders have participated in the online ceremony, and LCC is grateful for their outstanding input into our community. We would like to congratulate Anastasiya Chernous, who won the Student Leader of the Year award; Vika Romaško, who won the Bonnie Straight Award for Service and Leadership; and Yuliia Rusianovska, who won the Leadership Excellence Award. We would also like to congratulate all others who were recognized for their servant leadership, and we wish our future student leaders all the best!
Margarita Pavlovic, Student Life VP, shared, “This year’s theme was ‘What’s your Why?’, which hones in on an important aspect of leadership: motivation. What is the motivation for being a student at LCC? What is the motivation for being a servant-leader? LCC is a Christian institution, which means we believe that the primary motivation for our leadership is that of service to God and of service to the people around us. Treating everyone we meet with dignity and respect, giving voice to the voiceless, and hope to those who are suffering. That is the heart of leadership.”
