In mid-November, LCC faculty member Eugenija Marks visited Vilniaus Ąžuolyno progimnazija as a guest speaker for their official English-language public speaking event, TEDxĄžuolynas. The event gathered more than 200 students from grades 7–8, each sharing thoughtful perspectives on creativity, curiosity, and personal growth.

Eugenija opened the event with her talk “Novelty Isn’t Out There. It’s Inside You,” encouraging students to see creativity not as something distant, but as a resource already within them. Throughout the day, she listened to inspiring student speeches exploring themes such as imagination, friendship, and finding newness in everyday life.

The competition featured many strong voices, with the top award going to an eighth-grade participant whose clarity, humor, and confidence stood out. Eugenija also connected with English teachers and school leaders who expressed interest in future collaborations.

This visit was supported by LCC International University as part of ongoing efforts to engage with Lithuanian schools and contribute to learning communities through communication and creativity initiatives.
