LCC has had an active basketball program for several years now. From the very beginning, the mission was to create a true student-athlete team. LCC’s Moose Basketball team has been increasingly successful over the last few years.
LCC is fully committed to equality of opportunity, so the time has come to establish a women’s basketball team and offer athletic programs to both men’s and women’s teams. By doing so, LCC will expand its horizons and will provide high-quality education while also strengthen female basketball in the region. We are extremely proud and excited to see what the future holds for the institution and for the future female basketball players who will enroll in our university. Our basketball coach is already engaged in recruiting and building LCC’s first international women’s basketball team!
Marius Tamolis, head coach of the LCC Moose Basketball team, shared, “We are very excited that this process has begun and we thank LCC and those involved for their support. We are glad that LCC is growing in more ways than one and incorporating everyone along the way. We believe this will be a great addition and benefit to our community. Currently, as mentioned, the first steps and processes have begun. We are working on its creation and development, many people are helping out during this time. Our hope is to help LCC grow and provide athletic and educational opportunities for more student-athletes.”
