2018-09-13
We are continuing our special project – Alumni-On-Campus Day. Every other month during the academic year, the LCC Alumni Office invites an LCC graduate to return to his/her alma mater. This Friday, September 14, we are excited to welcome Simona Kutelienė.
Simona Kutelienė graduated from LCC in 2006 with a major in Business Administration and minor in Sociology. Leading by a desire to get experience while working at international company abroad and to study for Master’s degree, she moved to Dublin, Ireland. In 2006 she joined Deutsche Bank (Germany’s leading bank with a strong positon in Europe and significant presence in the Americas and Asia Pacific) as an analyst. After 2 years she ran a position of a team leader there, then associate and a team manager for number of different teams in the bank’s cash management division – Global Transactions Operations. She has been growing professionally and making a change together with colleagues at DB for 10 years. In 2011, while working at DB she also acquired Master’s degree (MSc) of International Banking and Finance at Liverpool John Moores University.
While being a team leader and a manager for a number of different teams she always used an opportunity to strengthen her leadership and couching skills and after a decade she understood that her real passion is people – enabling their development and engagement with organization and helping them to be participants and not the spectators in making a change. Therefore leading by the wish together with her husband to give their 2 kids, born in Ireland, an opportunity to live and learn in Lithuania, together with all the family she moved back home to Palanga.
In 2017 she started to run a position as Head of HR at KN (Klaipedos Nafta – Oil and Liquefied Natural Gas Company). KN Oil terminal in Klaipeda is one of the most modern and rapidly developing terminals on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, having a strong position in the regional market for oil product handling and storage services. LNG terminal is one of the most important facilities in Lithuania that ensures the national energy security. Working at a knowledge driven company and together with KN family strengthening the culture based on values that empower and enable personal and organizational development is one of the main drivers she says that makes her happy and fills with energy for a working day every day!
