LCC International University > News and Events > Dr. Andrew Jones and Mike Henry present at the Conference in Belgium

How does a milkshake make an argument? What matter was Simon Lee concerned within Wordsworth’s poem? The answers to these and other questions came up last week at a conference in Ghent, Belgium where LCC’s own Dr. Andrew C. Jones, a professor in the Communication Department, contributed his own thoughts on interpersonal healing in mediated chiropractics, and the epidictic nature of the C-programming language—the latter co-authored with LCC professor Mike Henry.
“It was a great conference, and an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Europe and around the world,” Jones commented. “I even got to expand on some LCC connections by meeting a friend of our Academic Dean who works at Butler University, and a friend of our former Theology faculty member Matthew Steinfeld. It was a great reminder that LCC has strong ties to North America that enrich our academic offerings here in Lithuania.” Dr. Jones plans to continue developing his work on rhetoric and hopes to place it in journals where colleagues on both continents will enjoy engaging with these ideas.
