On Wednesday, May 15, LCC community had the opportunity to participate in the workshop “Beautiful Trouble” by Nadine Bloch. Beautiful Trouble is a global network of organizers and trainers that equips and empowers grassroots movements to open up democratic space, where Nadine works as a Training Director, combining the principles and strategies of people power with creative use of the arts in cultural resistance and public protest.
During the workshop Nadine showed some of the most innovative tactics used in struggles against autocracy and austerity, as well as insights about best practices that come from progressive campaigns globally. The participants had the chance to participate in activities that helped them understand how public protests work. It was a pleasure to host Nadine and learn about her impactful work.
