Lithuanian Language Summer Camps for Children and Teens

One-week Lithuanian summer camp designed for teens and kids from ages 8–10 and 11–13. Teens and kids will be learning & playing from 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.

Camp Experience

Camp is organized on grounds of LCC university and run by instructors who are native Lithuanian speakers. Kids and teens will be fully immersed in a Lithuanian atmosphere and busy with exciting activities:

  • Lithuanian lessons that include reading, spelling, writing and grammar
  • Sport exercises
  • Crafts, games and other interactive activities
Groups

Teens and kids learn together with peers from Lithuania and other countries. After lessons, all participants join together for shared activities and group events. Teenagers and kids are supervised by a teacher or group leader at all times.

Program Outcomes

Our instructors and team leaders make sure to create a safe and engaging atmosphere. By the end of the program, the children will:

  • Express themselves in basic and more intermediate level of Lithuanian
  • Politely respond to everyday phrases in conversations.
  • Improve social skills by interacting with instructors, team leaders and their group.
  • Overcome fear of talking in Lithuanian in public through group activities, games and crafts

Typical Day at the Camp

  • 9:00–9:30 Morning Meeting and Intro to the day
  • 9:30–10:45 Lithuanian Language Class
  • 10:45–11:00 Break and Snacks
  • 11:00–12:00 Lithuanian Language Class
  • 12:00 –12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30–13:30 Lithuanian Language Class
  • 13.30 - 13.45 break  
  • 13:45–14:30 Lithuanian Language Club
  • 14:30–14:45 Break and Snacks
  • 14:45–15:30 Interactive Activities
  • 15:30–16:15 Active sports activities
  • 16:15– 16:30 Review of the day

Food & Drinks

Food is Served Three Times a Day:
  • 2 snack breaks
  • 1 lunch break

Snacks includes both healthy fruits and sweets such as cookies and candy. Hot meal is served during lunch.
Kids are encouraged to drink water during the entire camp. Each gets a personal mug with his/her name on for the camp, so at all times they can drink water.

Instructors

All instructors are either LCC employees or screened and trained volunteers from Lithuania.

Teachers

Lead the classes and teach key skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar.

Team Leaders

Lead all activities such as games, morning exercises and monitor kids during the free time when kids are off classes. The entire camp includes about 20-30 children, who are divided into groups of 10 kids for each team leader.

Supervisor

Is responsible for on-site safety and the coordination of all activities.

Facilities

Camp is held at LCC International University Campus in Klaipeda, Kretingos g. 36

We use the halls and classrooms for teaching sessions and campus grounds for outside activities such as ball games, chalk drawing etc.

Safety

Team leaders are responsible for groups of up to 10 children. They do head counts and oversee games and outside activities. The camp director oversees all safety measures and coordination in camp.

Key Dates & Payments

Camp Dates
  • Camp 1: August 2–6, 2027 (Monday to Friday, 9:00-16:30)
  • Camp 2: August 9–13, 2027 (Monday to Friday, 9:00-16:30)
Price for a Camp

1 week camp costs 270 EUR per person. 

You can make a payment on campus using cash or card or by bank transfer. 

Please note that registration is confirmed only after payment is completed. We recommend paying as early as possible to secure your spot, as the number of places is limited.  

Discounts
  • If you register before May 1st, the discounted price is 250 EUR. In order to receive the early registration discount, please pay by May 1st. 
  • If several family members participate in the Lithuanian language camp at LCC International University at the same time, each family member is eligible for a 10% discount from the original price.  
  • Discounts cannot be combined.
