THE LARGEST STUDENT BODY IN LCC HISTORY

Fall 2020 has begun well! In fact, we have welcomed the largest freshman class and the largest student body in LCC history! 638 undergraduate students + 50 graduate students. Although 33% of our students are studying remotely, everyone is glad to be back to learning together with the larger community.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

We are grateful for a healthy and safe campus community. With most of our students requiring the mandatory 14 days of self-isolation upon arrival into Lithuania, and with our de-densified residence halls, we have “enjoyed” the logistical puzzle of arrivals to campus, beginning in early August. Masks and hand sanitizers and social distancing . . . these are all part of our reality.

STUDENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Due to the fact that many students lost their opportunity for summer employment, we have begun the year with a commitment to offering a 10% tuition discount for all students, and the ability to borrow small amounts from the newly-established McQuaig Loan Fund. Due to these challenges and opportunities, we have increased our Annual Fund goal by 200,000 EUR, to a new total of 950,000 EUR—our LARGEST annual fund goal to meet these EXTRAORDINARY times.

We are grateful for all who support our students! If you would like to “adopt” a student, we would be glad to connect you to a freshman student . . . and you could follow that student for the next four years. Tuition is approximately $4000 USD annually. Would you consider “adopting” a new freshman? CLICK HERE to give to the Annual Fund. Please add a comment regarding your interest in “adopting” a new freshman.

WITH GRATITUDE FOR OUR FACULTY AND STAFF . . . AND YOU

These last 6 months have involved constant scenario planning, priority adjustments, and care for each other. I’m grateful for the Christ-centered faculty and staff community of LCC, and for their desire to ensure quality programming and support, especially in the midst of a global pandemic.

And thank you for your prayers . . . from near and far. God has called us to “one another” living. May we do so this year.

● Pray for one another.

● Speak truth to one another.

● Seek good for one another.

● Be at peace with one another.

● Serve one another.

● Encourage and build up one another.

The role of LCC, as an international university with a mission of developing a new generation of leaders, is particularly important at this time in history. The world needs our kind of graduates. Thank you for participating with us in this mission.
