Who is this program for?

Adults who are looking to improve their Lithuanian and learn about Lithuania.

You get to
  • Learn and practice in a small group of students.
  • Practice Lithuanian language: speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.  
  • Learn about the country, its traditions, customs, and culture. 
  • Learn the history and political environment of Lithuania.
Classes twice or four times a week

It depends whether you choose our intensive or regular course

Library Access

During the course, you will have access to the university library and will be able to read books, newspapers, and magazines in Lithuanian. To borrow books, present your ID card or passport to the library staff.

Gym Access

Access to the gym at the Michaelsen Centre on campus. Special prices apply to participants of evening courses: 

€5 for a single visit 

€30 for a monthly pass (unlimited visits).

Time & Location

To really fit your schedule, we have created two options:

  • Study intensively for 3 weeks from Monday to Thursday
  • Study twice a week for 6 weeks
3- week Intensive Lithuanian Course

This course will happen on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 17:30 to 19:00

6-week Lithuanian Course

This course will happen on Mondays, and Wednesdays from 17:30 to 19:00  

Location

Courses are held in DeFehr Center on the LCC International University campus in Klaipeda, Kretingos g. 36  

Application Process

Complete the registration form

 Fill out a short registration form on our website. After submitting the form, you will receive an email with payment details and the next steps to complete your registration.  

Take the Lithuanian placement test

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a link to the placement test via email. You can also find the test link on this page. If you already took the placement test last semester, you do not need to retake it.    

Make a payment

Follow bank transfer instructions provided below to make a payment.

Receive your class invitation

Before the course begins, you’ll receive an email invitation with your class details – including the schedule, classroom number, and other important information.

To apply for the program, you must complete an online registration form by April 27th.

Placement Test

The placement test is designed to evaluate your Lithuanian language proficiency, enabling us to place you in the appropriate group for optimal learning. 

You can complete the placement test before or after submitting the registration form.
