Bio

Dr. Michael Finch is an award-winning international scholar who currently chairs the contemporary communication department at LCC international university. Finch is currently editing a two volume book for Lexington Books with his colleagues in the Communication Association of Eurasian Researchers for which he was just voted president. At his last university where he developed the digital media journalism major, he advised the student newspaper, yearbook and webshow which earned 40+ regional and national awards during his tenure. He developed and led student trips to three continents after catching the travel bug while doing his dissertation research in Ukraine on the topic of Soviet minority identity and resistance. Finch grew up in New York State in the U.S., worked as a journalist, youth worker and then academic. When Finch isn’t working he is likely either rock climbing or searching for the illusive perfect brew of coffee.
