European Union (EU) citizens does not have to obtain a National Visa D or Temporary Residence Permit (TRP). However, they must apply for EU Residence Confirmation Letter within the 90 days from the beginning of your studies in Lithuania. Residence Confirmation Letter will be valid for full period of your studies ( Eur 8.60). Decisions are usually made in 1 month.
LCC Migration Affairs Office will prepare most of the documents needed for receiving Residence Confirmation Letter from the local Migration Office in Klaipeda. However, you need to prepare a few additional documents and bring them with you when you come to LCC in August.
In order to enter Lithuania and to remain legally while being a student you have to have a valid document for that. After you are admitted, paid a deposit and received a confirmation letter from the LCC International University you can start with the migration process. Usually students are coming with National Visa D or Temporary Residence Permit (TRP). LCC Migration Coordinator will guide you through the process of obtaining the documents required for legal residence but please be aware that LCC does not have direct control over the migration procedures, nor can affect the decisions of the Lithuanian Migration Department. It is absolutely MANDATORY that you follow the process in order to get a visa or TRP. Once you pay a non-refundable admission deposit, you can start applying for a visa.
In order to apply for visa D you will need:
