The Center for International Education is closely monitoring the impacts of COVID-19 on higher education around the world. Erasmus+ program continues as usual and we do expect that exchanges and traineeships can take place as scheduled. We receive updates regularly and if there are any changes in relation to your exchange semester or traineeship you will hear from us directly.
As there is a risk of your semester abroad being cancelled, we recommend that you wait as long as possible to buy flight tickets and rent your apartment. If possible you should also make sure that accommodation expenses can be refunded if your exchange is cancelled. All students must have an insurance that provides health coverage in the receiving country for the duration of the semester or traineeship.
ERASMUS+ BLENDED MOBILITY
If you are participating in the blended mobility your semester would start with a period of virtual learning and would continue with a period of physical mobility abroad. You will not receive a grant during the period of virtual learning in your country of residence as you should be able to pursue those activities without additional costs. Once the physical mobility period starts in the host country, you will get the regular grant for the period abroad. Physical mobility must be a minimum of 3 months.
ERASMUS+ SEMESTER CANCELLATION
If your semester in cancelled due to COVID-19 or you decide to withdraw please contact Center for International Education immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be reminded that Erasmus+ scholarship is granted only for the physical mobility. If your semester switches to the virtual mode and you go home, your scholarship will be recalculated for the actual duration spent in the foreign country.
SELF ISOLATION IN THE RECEIVING COUNTRY
In case 14-day self-isolation is mandatory upon your arrival to the receiving country, this period can be included in the total mobility period and additional Erasmus+ grant can be awarded for the self-isolation duration.
