LCC International University seeks a Chair for the Social Sciences Department
We are looking for someone who has energy, creativity, and vision for launching a new Psychology major, as well as for supporting and promoting minors in Sociology, Conflict Studies, and Psychology.
Position: Full-time position as Chair of Social Sciences Department
Start Date: August 1, 2009 (length of commitment negotiable)
Responsibilities
- provide leadership for the Social Sciences Department, ensuring overall program excellence
- recruit faculty for the Social Sciences department
- teach several undergraduate Social Sciences courses per year
Qualifications
- PhD in Psychology, Sociology or related field
- college teaching experience required
- administrative experience preferred
- leadership and team-building skills required
- commitment to liberal arts education within the international context of LCC
